There’s a term, “coffee snob,” that gets thrown around quite a lot these days. If you check the urban dictionary there are a couple of definitions, but what it usually refers to is someone who cares so much about coffee and its quality or lack thereof that they look down on anyone or any product who fails to live up to that golden standard. Flying Baron Roasters wants to be coffee obsessed without the snobbery. We know one thing: we love great coffee. And we want to share that love, all the possibilities with any and everyone else.
Flying Baron Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster located in Lakewood, Colorado and is owned and operated by us—a husband and wife team—Kyle and Amanda Iseminger. What began as two people with little to no interest in coffee is now a full blown obsession and small business with the goal of roasting and drinking the best coffee possible.
We work on a 6 lb San Franciscan Roaster, with a focus on single-origin, small batches of beans that intrigue us. The coffees we supply as a finished product are what we love, and we hope you do too. We’re constantly learning and perfecting the craft of roasting and preparing coffee and invite you all along on the journey. Here’s to the next cup you drink!
About the name Flying Baron
The “flying” Baron you see in our logo is one of our dogs—the youngest—Baron. He’s a chocolate lab and we have never met a being who lives life with such exuberance and joy. We chose to name the company after him in honor of his spirit, and hope we can attack this adventure with half the enthusiasm he does. And keep an eye on our products. You’ll see names of other beloved animals show up from time to time!
